Hi! My Name is Nicolas Giachino

I am a certified french tennis professional with 25 years of experience in coaching and training players of all levels, from beginners to advanced, with a focus on high-performance, and has taught at multiple clubs in both France and the United States like the Tennis club de Paris (TCP) and the Racquet Club of Irvine (RCI).

Born in a competitive tennis family, father and brother being tennis coaches, Nico Giachino began playing tennis at the age of 5 in France, won various tournaments and played pre-national divisions inter-clubs. 

Serve/Return

entrance of the point, crucial shots in modern tennis. Motion fluidity, toss, legs synchronization, body transfer, variation of zones and effects.

Footwork

reacting quickly, moving fast and well, recovering properly, being balanced at contact point. Footwork is the core of your game .. Using all the geometry of the court, being able to reach any ball in any zone.

Mental approach

breathing awareness, building routines and defining your goals, setting up your intentions, learning to manage internal emotions better using mental keys.

Nicolas Giachino at the tennis court

He received his one year coaching state certification in France in 2009 (DJEPS) and later in the United States in 2017 (USPTA). Additionally, I have undergone special training in helping student’s mental game and strategic thinking, enhancing and improving their on and off-the-court performance.

I am an energetic and enthusiastic coach who is dedicated to providing the best possible service to his students, with an emphasis on fostering a positive and productive learning environment. I encourage my students to have an open dialogue, to set goals, and to work together to achieve them. My approach to coaching combines technical, tactical, and strategic thinking to help players discover themselves through the game.

Teaching tennis inspires me as I love cultural wealthiness, meeting people, getting to know other personalities from all around the world, and staying connected.
